Can you use an at home bikini wax kit to give yourself an at home brazilian bikini wax? I was wondering that if I bought an at home bikini waxing kit (I was looking at getting an all natural honey wax if that changes things) could I use it to give myself a brazilian bikini wax or should the wax only be used on the area outlined by a bathing suit? |
| they don't work too well... you are best to go to a beauty supply shop and get the professional wax. I have been doing my own brazillians for 5 years and I have tried everything. Basically you get what you pay for. Get good stuff and you'll get a gr8 result |
How can I give myself an at home bikini wax? I just turned 14 this year & am now feeling confident enough to wear a bikini. I really need a bikini wax first though. I can't get & get it professionally done because I don't have the money & I don't know how my parents would feel about that anyway. So does anyone know an easy at home way i can give myself a bikini wax? |
| Buy some decent wax strips (i thought the Veet ones for sensetive skin are good but have only used them once on legs) they have the wax already on..i personally think putting the wax on first then pushing down on a strip is better and safer and less painful..then search on the internet if you can get instrucitons or guidelines to do it..if u buy some good ones they should tell u but id be very carful..waxing is deffo the way to go, shaving can cause ingrown hairs and dont last 2 mins, waxing is better for ur skin, the hair, and in general longer lasting and SMOOTHER! but be carful, the sides aint bad, but as u get towards the middle its extreamly painful and u dont wana be sittin there wit a strip stuck on ya coz u put it on n wont take it off! takes guts and is MAJORLY easier when someone else does it for u, doing it urself can be a nightmare but if u wana and are confident enuff u will do it then go for it..but be carful n be real carful when followin any instrutions, do em as well as u can! hope i helped |

How do I give myself an at-home bikini wax? I want to wax myself for bikini season, and I don't want to spend the money on going to a salon. I have idea what to do - what drugstore brands are the best? Can anyone else give me tips/suggestions?
Lastly, how much does it hurt?
Thanks girls!! |
Hi there,
Well when I used to wax myself I used this stuff called Persian Wax which I bought from Walmart. It comes with some fabric wax strips but in order for it to be effective you must put it in the microwave for a few minutes to warm it up but not too long that it burns you obviously. Anyways I found that waxing myself was more painful than actually going to get it done. I dreaded doing it because it was too painful, sometimes I wouldn't be able to finish the job just cuz it was too painful doing it myself that is. I definitely recommend going to a salon even though it might be a bit more expensive. Where I go it isn't super expensive it's a small place that only charges $35, used to be $30 before but it's still pretty good. Try looking for smaller hair removal and waxing studios, they're usually cheaper or you should keep an eye out for those deals and have them sent out to your e-mail where they have special deals on spas, clothing or restaurants and if you recommend it to 3 of your friends and they buy the deal you can get the deal free. I have livingsocial but I'm not sure where your located but I got a special deal for a $25 Brazilian. Other places charge $60 or $90 which is ridiculous I think but sometimes you can find great deals you just have to look around. |
Going to do a Bikini wax, this is my 3rd attempt at home waxing, any tips? I have previously tried bikini waxing at home with the cheaper kits like Sally henson ect.. and the wax is too sticky gets everywhere and it is sooo...painful. I was researching at home waxing kits on amazon.com and sorting them by most popular and best selling as well as customer reviews to try and buy the best kit i can. I'm also looking at some Lidocaine cream to numb the area prior to waxing. Are there any other tips or advice you can give me to make this easy and less painful? I am not going to a professional because between doctors and my husband my hoo-ha has enough people looking at it. I have been shaving since i was 14 and i want an easier faster process to keep me clean and bare. (i guess i'm getting lazy in my old age, lol.) SO any professionals at home bikini waxing please give me your advice also here's a link to a kit i'm thinking of buying, lemme know what you think.

Also keep in mind this kit is a lil pricey but it includes the warmer and everything, and also 1 kit supposedly does 2-3 waxes. It would pay for itself in the long run i think because after buying the initial kit all you have to do is buy more wax and prep cream. |
Um... have they invented a veet hair removal for down there?
You could try icing 'it' befor you wax and that might num it a bit. Try veet wax and the warmer the better.
good luck |
Has anyone done an at-home bikini wax? What brand did you use? I've never actually had that area of me waxed before and the idea of someone else doing it for the first time kinda freaks me out. Has anyone done an at-home kit before?? |
hi
how are you?
i was like you i used every thing like shaving & hair remover
but it s not very good
& when i was using the wax it`s hurts me so much & i canot complete it
so i put surface anaesthesia before the wax
ofcourse when i used the wax again it hurts me but not like the first & i was happy & i make it for ever by that way |
What is the best at-home bikini waxing kit? I'm going on a school trip for about a week to a couple of water parks next month. I'm planning on purchasing an at-home waxing kit for my bikini line just so I don't have to worry about it much when I'm at the trip. I'll probably be purchasing this at target or walmart, or somewhere of that nature.
Any recommendations of what I should buy (a certain brand/kind) would be very appreciated :D |
| Surgi-Wax Brazilian Wax: about 4 bucks at wal-mart. It's a heated wax that doesn't require any strips. The honey or sugar waxes or anything that doesn't harden when cooled just don't seem to work. |
Looking for a good, at-home bikini wax product? Anybody have a suggestion for an effective (low on pain is bonus LOL) at-home bikini wax? |
Nair wax strips work well!

At home bikini wax? Help!? I want to start waxing my bikini area, but I don't want to go get it done. I was wondering, is there is any type of home-waxing kit I can use for this? Also, what brand is best for sensitive skin? What about for waxing legs and underarms? Do you suggest this over shaving? How often will I have to wax? Thanks in advance.:] |
I've heard of home waxing kits but have never used one. And im sure there is something out there for sensitive skin. Legs and underarms are the same principle as bikini area so im sure you could just use the same kit. Usually waxing get rid of hair for about 3 weeks on average.
Also, though, I heard about this thing called the No!No! (No Hair, No Pain!) I'm not sure if its legitimate or not but it looks really good. The infomercial shows someone doing it right infront of you. I think its around 100 dollars or so, and it is a painless hair remover that crystallizes hair and kills the root, so the hair grows back less, and lighter, everytime, and eventually stops growing back.
good luck! |
